I didn't shoot one worth mounting. It was bigger then everyone one on my friends wall who helped me butcher it. Smaller then the ones of my friends I hunt with. I had 60+ go by me because they drove the state park next to me the week before. The deer move over to my property. On average I will see 30 every hunt. 60+ was a treat.

Most guys I know absolutely will not shoot 90% of the bucks they see but its that top 10%...those of maturity, that will definitely get an arrow flung at them

Sorry guys slam me if you want to but I'm shooting any mature deer that comes by my stand. That's just the way I am. I'm out there to bring home the meat and once it's in the freezer bag you can't tell if it had horns or not.

gutshot,
So what is mature to you? Anything other than a fawn? Mature bucks are generally considered those of 3 1/2 or older in which case why would you be apologizing for shooting one.

All bucks are trophys to me I hunt 3 to 4 states a year. If it's a legal buck I'll take him and head to the next state. I have 95 racks on my den wall some are big most are not but I had fun hunting them and thats all I care about I'am enjoying my self. Does make button bucks - button bucks grow horns- I hunt for horns.

unless it comes in range and offers me a good shot and it's a buck that I feel like shooting (which typically is anything that will score over 115) I guess my standards aren't as high as some of the others
