RE: So I got to work and the world crumbles
Blakelyboy,
YOU SHOT A FAWN! HOW COULD YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF YOU BAMBI KILLER.... Just kidding, good eating, young and tender, um. T |
RE: So I got to work and the world crumbles
Yes technically it has a wound in which it will die from, as for feeling pain, in some cases that is debateable as deer have been seen to keep feeding after being shot. All I'm saying is that I've never heard anyone say "I shot a buck, wounded him, but he died after a 50 yds run." In bowhunter speak-wounded ones get away.

RE: So I got to work and the world crumbles
14mercs, if you feel the urge to define the term wounded be my guest. As far as I am concerned wounded means shooting a deer only to have the deer live. As far as saying I never make mistakes those words have never come out of my mouth. I was asked two simple questions 1-did I ever wound a deer while hunting (sorry 14merc but I'm using my defenition) and 2- did I ever make a "bad" shot. I said that I never wounded a deer and never made a "bad" shot. If somewhere in that statement you saw the phrase "I never made a mistake" then please correct me, but until you do stop putting words in my mouth Tomster.

Rybo- I respectfully disagree. A buck that gets away is one that was that was poorly shot. A buck could run for miles and eventually fall over dead and leave the trackers 3 miles behind saying where did he go? Not all wounds are fatal!

ORIGINAL: Rack-attack Hey Blakey.......How them ground hogs doing.........LOL:D Welcome.....you 8,000 a minute typing freak.........[:-]:D:D;) The ground squirrels caught hell this spring, first crack with the bow i had an ex traditional hunter with me and his black lab who apparently just 'loves gophers'. I connected on the first 9 of 10 shots on them with the furthest being a beaut 35 yrd....thhhhhWOP!:D, i ended the day shooting about 80% on them but was stretching some shots and also just getting tired from shooting lots. The guy was fairly amazed at what can be done with archery equipment these days...to say the least and that dog...holy crap, it shredded them gophers, nothin but red on the shoulders and top of head...a few shakes and all that was left was a hide, even caught 4 by herself. See ya round ya giant buck killing freak.[8D] B(soon to be a giant buck killing freak:D) |
RE: So I got to work and the world crumbles
Blakelyboy,
I better not find out that you shot those poor defenseless gophers or were they wood chucks, in the shoulder and not the heart. Because if you did, I'm going to tell you, you were wrong to do it. You should not have taken the shot. Now, what heppened to the 20% you missed, were they "BAD" shots cause if they were, I don't know what I'll do.... Anyway, that sounds like some good shooting and fun too. I usually use my 22 on wood chucks but maybe next time I'll try the bow. T |
RE: So I got to work and the world crumbles
Well Tomster I see you turned this into a pi$$ing contest with you witty response in that last post and right now I don't feel like arguing so I'm done with this post. Hopefully you might eventually be able to think of a legitimate response.
