david, you should have known the ethics police would show up.

The holier than thou pukes that have killed 2 deer and are now suddenly trying to guide and mentor the younger generation.

Bullsh!t!! Hunting is dirty work, animals die, hearts gets sliced, lungs get punctured, spines get broken. Blood spills, guts stink, some suffer. That's part of game, either get on board or join your non-hunting buddies that you share you latte with every afternoon.

Peace, out
I concur! It's pretty sad that on a hunting site we can't talk about/see death. I've got news for you folks....death is part of what we do! I agree the shot might not have been textbook, but I don't know your skills anymore than go fly a kite....nor do you know mine or his or hers or whomevers'.

the ethics police would show up.
Sadly, those same 'ethics police' are starting to become the PC police as well.

What happened? Did we bend over for the minority again?

Now I get it , from looking at the kill pic that was moved I'm guessing that someone got a little squeemish? Or maybe they expected us to paint a pretty picture of how deer are killed by shooting pretty flowers at them until they fall asleep like Dorothy and her pals did in the poppy field.

No one (that I read) was upset at the graphic images. In a nutshell, Davidmil posted pic's of a deliberate shoulder shot taken by Len very recently. Anyone who has ever shot a deer in the shoulder knows what can happen (poor penetration, lost animal). Davidmil also stated that it would be no big deal if the animal wasn't recovered (not his exact words, but that's what it boiled down to).

Len was confident the shot would be fatal, and he was right. But some (myself included) questioned whether taking a chance like that on a live animal was an ethical thing to do- and we posted as much. c903 was obviously upset, and let it be known. I don't think he was particularly rude, just blunt. I thought he was right, although he might admit himself that he could have toned it down. Len was right, and that counts for something.

I don't know if the pic's and thread got pulled because the moderators felt it was unethical, or if it was because there were some graphic pictures. Hopefully we'll hear about it at some point...

Yeah right...

I don't need to really say anymiore, everyone has already said the same things I would've found myself saying.

FWIW I agreed with len and davidmil.

The crab vs chicken pics here are hilarious.

Ahhhh got ya.
That is a subject that usually turns into a multiple page debate. Some folks fail to take into account the difference of todays high energy bows compared to the bows from 20 years ago. Thats all I'm saying.;)
