So I told Len I'd meet him at 4:45-5:00 AM to do a little bowhunting this AM. YUP... here I am at 6:30 sitting in my house. Obviously I've left my buddy sitting in the woods alone. SOME PEOPLE!!

I can give you all the excuses in the world but I just plain screwed up. SOME PEOPLE!!

Excuse # 1: Some idiot... ehhh hmmmm... set the dang alarm clock he's set 6 zillion times for PM instead of AM. SOME PEOPLE!!!

Excuse # 2: I had a root canal done Wednesday afternoon. Last night I started hurting. I'm on Motrin and antibotics. I'm in semi misery here. SOME PEOPLE....(a.k.a. Dentist).

Excuse # 3: I've had company for a week.(my son and his honey) They finally took off for a couple days and we got a chance to sleep a little. These young 'uns have kept me up to late at night or I would have been rested and woke up anyway. SOME PEOPLE!!!

So anyway.... [b]SORRY LEN...SOME PEOPLE[/b].

I have to go mow the Zoo for the landlord this AM. Maybe I'll run across you there.

What were you guys going to bow hunt? Just curious.....or maybe I didn't get the joke.

Happens to everyone sooner or later, don't beat yourself up. But man when I get stood up I can't stand it. Just expect to take a LOT of ribbin' about it. That would be my pay back!!!! I have one friend that doesn't show more often than not, so I stoped inviting him.

Well...now that he is free of the Rookie............

Maybe he will shoot a couple deer today.........

Yeah Len.......someone younger who can also drag deer for you.

The older generation just has no sense of responsibility anymore.

I met up with him. Even his kid who hounds him to go hunting every day stood him up. Len woke him and the kid said he'd rather sleep. Go figure. Well, he didn't shoot one so I didn't have to drag. My tooth still hurts like heck except for when the 600 mg of Motrin kicks in for 3 or 4 hours. On top of not hunting... I had to wait to use the tractor so got a late start on the lawn. Then I ran into a yellow jacket nest or something and got whacked. So after 5 1/2 hours on the bushhog I had to come home and mow my lawn. The only plus so far is I rolled the change in my change bowl and came up with $90. I wonder what Len has for sale for $90.

Sounds to me like your the one that got stung not Len...

Who couldn't forgive your oversight for $90.00?

Finally, a man your age shouldn't have to go through that aweful pain with his teeth....fix it permanently with dentures! [&:]

Saw 2 deer but just couldn't get a clean shot. It's sure difficult this time of year with all the foliage. When you can see them, the foliage can cover the vitals easily.

Actually, I can count on one hand the number of times Dave didn't make a commitment. It takes days, however, to count the number of times he was there to help.
