What's your favorite thing you don't "need"
What accessory or product did you buy or are thinking of buying that you really don't need but that you like to have with you?
I got a whole back pack full of gear last year that I could have condensed into a small pouch.

Grunt tube. Although technically I don't "need" it, I would rank it right up there with my bow as far as things I'd not enter the woods without. I don't carry much extraneous gear into the woods, but my grunter is one thing that's always with me.

Compass! I don't really need it because i know our property like the back of my hand. I think it's more a piece of mind type thing for me than anything else. We do have lots of swamps that joins our property that i've never been in and it's never happened before but if a deer was to ever run that far and you have to track deep in those swamps i want to be able to get out of there. No telling what lives in those swamps and i don't care to spend the night in there with the boogy man.

Hands down - Binoculars
After letting several bucks walk the first season antler restrictions were introduced because I wasn't able to verify the rack size, I learned how critical binos can be. Heck... I even upgraded to a decent set of compact 8x40's for better light penetration (major difference!).

Camera and binoculars, I always wanted to look through my binoculars and see a nice buck coming in my direction and just before he gets into range take a pic of him! But the places i always end up hunting is so thick that by the time i see one it so close that i if i looked throgh the bino`s all i would see is brown and if i took a pic well thats all i would get is a pic it would be to late to shot but i always got them with me for some reason
