I was just wondering how many people shoot without a peep sight and what types of methods do you use? I am mostly talking about hunting but all input is appreciated.

I took a paint pen and painted where my peepl was and I have a spot on my riser that I place that dot. Then I can just look at my pin and my target. I am thinking about having a small piece of serving instead of the paint pen mark.

I shoot without a peep and use the No-Peep.

Just use a consistant anchor, string on nose and at the corner of my mouth and middle knuckle at the bend in my jaw bone.

I just started using a no peep myself and agree with what Aussie says.

If your anchor has been high enough while using a peep,, in that you've developed a "feel" at full draw (a solid anchor against your jaw or head somewhere), just take the peep out and look just past the outside of the string at your sight pins. Your string will look very blured but you will be able to tell that you're looking just to the outside,,, some look to the inside but I think I have better depth of perception when looking to the outside of the string. Don't expect great results right away, you might have to obtain a more solid anchor which is key to shooting consistently. I use a kisser button and touch the center of my nose on the string while anchoring my index finger knuckel behind my earlobe. Have fun!!

I use a knot tied out of serving material. However, the knot is not tied near the pin. I find it easier to set it so that I line the knot up with the bottom of my sight housing. It is important to have a few good solid anchors. I also use a kisser, but I don't find it consistant by itself. Therefore, I use the knot above the kisser, touch the string to my nose, and anchor a knuckle against my cheekbone.
