grunt tubes

RE: grunt tubes
Its best use is when you have spotted a deer that you want a shot at that is traveling away from you or skirting out of bow range. Start by calling softly and then a little louder untill you get its attention. Once the deer is looking your way do not blow it again. You are taking the chance of spooking it or it spotting you.
Don't do very much "blind calling". Don't use it unless you spot the deer and want to call it in.
The best thing you can do with a grunt tube is not over use it. Good luck.

Ditto on the blind calling comment. I have never had any luck going that route but once a deer is in sight then the odds go way up. I do not know if blind calling does not work because the deer does not hear the call or because they sneak up and you and see you before you see them.
Something to think about though.
