i waz goin out to hunt one mourning with my dad on some private land up bye where we live.we had sat all morning not seeing anything.so we just decide that we get up and walk in a circle back to the truck.so we started walkin and had walked about 100 yards win we seen this doe eating so acorns so i got ready.cocked the hammer on my gun back and got ready to shoot.a bunch of things was runing thourgh my head "am i going to miss" com down" make a good shot" were some of the things going thourgh my head.i had pulled the trigger and made a good hit or so i thought here comes the bad part i had shot her in the shoulder and my bullet was not strong enough to go all the way thourgh the shoulder.we tracked her for 200 yards with a good blood trail.i guess you get some you lose some.so please if you starting a hunter out sit down tell them that you ain't all waz goin to kill that deer and you make bad shots so they don't have to find out the hard way like me.may god bless bye

Come on guys! Give em some slack!
Bow Hunter, I’m sorry to hear of your misfortune. Now you know why it’s real important to practice your shooting until it becomes second nature. Maybe hunting more small game this year will get rid of some of those jitters your speaking about.
Welcome to the bow hunting forum. Your stories thus far are about you and the gun. Have you started bow hunting yet? If so what’s your setup? How old are you? Where are you located.

If this poster is real then he/she needs to practice some more to overcome the mistake made. If you hunt long enough you will make shots that aren't perfect.
If this poster is an anti-troll then we won't hear back from him/her unless he/she gets us all riled up and in-fighting.
