Ordered my new digital game cam!!!!!!!!!!1
#1
Well guys, I ordered it today, and I decided to go with the Non-Typical Cuddeback! I got it for $364.99 with free shipping! It is alot of money, but when you consider that I was spending roughly $2.50 for each roll of film in my stealth cams, and $7.50 to get them developed, I was pushing out $10.00 a week for each camera! I had two, so I was putting in about $20.00 a week just for film and development!
The Cuddeback I am getting is the newly updated one which is supposed to have fixed all the problems that the first edition had!
I also ordered a 128 MB Smart Media card for it ($26 and free shipping) and that will allow me to hold over 300 pics on the camera at one time!
I should have it up and in the woods by the end of next week, so I will give a full report then.
As for why I chose it over the digital stealth cam, the main reasons were battery life and security! The Cuddeback has a 3 month battery life where as the digital Stealth has a 3 week battery life, and the Cuddeback has a much better system for locking the camera to the tree, where as the digital Stealth cam has the "lock plate" which can easily be bent back and forth with your hands until it snaps, allowing someone to just slide the camera off the tree.
Like I said, I will have a full review when I recieve it!

Thanks Nubo,
I would suggest the Stealth Cam MC2-G. It is the camera that Frank has and it is the camera that I had (before I broke). At $65 you just can't pass it up. It is easy to set-up and use. THe only "problem" areas is loading the film and a wide sensor. When loading the film, you have to make sure that your film is over the little "grippers" on the roller and the wide sensor can cause pics where the deer is at the edge and not the center of the pic. The pics are great, and I am gonna post a bunch of pics from mine to show a couple guys the quality because a few guys have been looking at one!

Thanks guys,
I will probablly get my grandfather to build me a "bear proof" case for it, that way I can use a large chain, one that can't be cut with bolt cutters! The area I will putting it doesn't see anyone, but it is better to be safe than sorry!

I'll be anxious to see the pix from that unit. I just ordered the NEW Stealth 3.0 Megapixel Digital Cam yesterday from Cabela's so I'm sure it'll be here in a few days and I'm gonna try to get it set right out. I hope it works well, I'm excited about getting the instant feedback. I think it will be cool to check the Cam by simply peeking at the 1.8" TFT LCD screen to see if there are any pix to take home and Download. I'm always excited to play with a new toy. Good luck with your new Cam and post alot of the pix.

Hey Cornfed,
I was really looking a the DIGRC-XTR from Stealth Cam, but I decided to try out the Cuddeback. The longer battery life and better locking system are pretty much the only reason that I picked the Cuddeback. Plus, if I don't like it , I can always sell it and get the Stealth DIGRC-XTR!
I really want to see your pics also, and I will be looking forward to them!

Yes sir, you will certainly have to let me know what you think of that Cam. That's why I ordered my Stealth from Cabela's, so IF I don't like it, I can send it back after a couple months.
I am excited about going digital.

I look forward to seeing the quality of the pics Jason. I have to admit that I probably would invest in a digital model as well but there is just too great a chance of mine getting stolen where I hunt. I can swallow $70 alot easier than $370.
