Do you leave your bow in the bowcase when stored in the house?

Just curious because I think it is causing my new hoyt to rust faster. The actualy bow isnt rusting but the screws and certain medal parts are rusting. Is this because I store it in the case all season?

I leave mine hanging on the wall. But I also try to shoot at least 3 or 4 days a week so hanging it up makes it easier to access.

I would say that leaving in the case would cause some parts to rust a little faster. Same thing happens if you leave a gun in a padded case for an extended period of time.

So take it out & shoot it a little more often & you can worry more about wearing the paint off around the grip than having parts rusting up.

Hey Jeepnut I shoot this bow everday, but it is just stored in the case when I am not shooting. I probably shoot on average 300 arrows a week just in the offseason, but 2 months prior to season, I never set my bow down.

I also leave mine hanging on the wall. When i wanna shoot a few arrows, i just grab it, walk out the door, and fling a few. Plus it adds to the decor.

I leave mine on the dinning room table until the wife bitches. Then I move it into my living room. If I get my act together, I will finish my fire proof room and put a bow holder on the wall.

In a case under a bed year round doesn't seem to speed up the rusting problem for me.
