RE: Numbering arrows
Always, I write the number on my white vane with a sharpie. Does a few things:
- easy to tell if its the same arrow that won't group with the others. - when I take the BH off to travel somewhere, its easy to put the same BH back on the same arrow (I mark the inside of the BH box too). Once you have a "bad" arrow you can refletch, spin the tip, spin the nock, different BH games to try and make it fly with the others. --Bob |
RE: Numbering arrows
If the arrow is straight and spine is the issue try twisting the nock and then recentering it to how every you shoot(cock feather up,down, out). Sometimes a slight adjustment will change the spine of the arrow and help it to shoot more consistantly. |

Hmmm, so if I want to change the spine of my arrow, all I have to do is twist the nock.:eek::eek:If I twist a 2315 enough, will I get a 2317 out of it???:D:D:D |

You are not "changing the spine" but you are changing how the "strong side" of the spine is orientated to how it flexes out of the bow. Hooter shooters are great for this.;) |

RE: Numbering arrows
I have numbered all my hunting and 3D arrows for years. It helps find the arrows that do not group.

RE: Numbering arrows
I number or at least identify all my serious arrows. Some just plain refuse to fly with the rest and some fly better .Its good to know which is which.Ron

Yes . . . both hunting and target.

RE: Numbering arrows
every dozen of arrows I get get a letter and a number. I shoot all of them and the good ones get put in the bow case and the others get put in the work shop to be refleched and shot again later. This way when I have 36 to 48 arrows I know what ones shoot good and what ones don't. I got my bear with old # A5.
