Default HuntCam No.1 Product of the Year

HuntCam No.1 Product of the year.

Just got back from Memphis, TN and the Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoor Festival and this is my No.1 pick from that show and for the year.

The HuntCam Never Miss a Shot!
Well every now and then something comes along that will change the face of hunting. In my humble opinion I believe this will be one of the hottest products for the next couple of years.

Well here it is. The HuntCam!!!!!!
The pictures on the video I watch were awesome, that is the only word for it. Low light conditions works great in Black and White Mode.
Focuses on the animal moving in the video. You can wear it just about any where on your body. Will fit on your at the stabilizer with special mount. Will fit onto your gun.
Even watched a section where they were fishing.
The 8mm is the most popular which the middle of the road field of view.
I could see on the video deer 80 yards in the background but the HuntCam is made for 50 yards and less. Great for bow range and shot gunning turkeys.
Even has additional accessory like hatband for hat with no bills. Push button remote for hitting record, pause or turning it off or on.
The types of hunting and fishing that you will be able to record for posterity are limitless.
The HuntCam Kit Includes:

* The HuntCam Camera
* Rechargeable Battery
* Battery Charger
* Mini Microphone
* Hat Attachment
The HuntCam Video Lens Specs:

* Color
* Auto Focus
* 3.6 mm, 8mm or 12mm lens available
* Weighs less than 3 ounces
* 400+ lines of TV resolution
* Weatherproof

They must be joking.... they want $389 dollars for the "HUNTCAM" kit which doesn't include a camera. All that gets you is a lens, battery charger etc etc... but then you have to buy a camera. It's not "MY" No. # from the DU show.

If it's mounted on your hat ,how do you know where the cam is pointing ?
The price sound's a little out of my range as well and how much does it wiegh ,I can see my hat falling in my eye's just at the point of release.

it doesnt seem that bad to me but i think you should be able to get the whole kit including the camera for $389. i would probably pay that much for it but i doubt much more

If it's mounted on your hat ,how do you know where the cam is pointing ?
i see 5 shot and a field test involved

The fact that it can be mounted on a shotgun, then with an adapter will fit on your bow, then on your hat is what has sold me on it.

I have been looking for something that would work for 10 years that could be hands free. I believe I will go with the 12mm for a wider field a view.

For 400 dollars who cares. I can remember when I bought my camtrakker in 1998 and people said 450 is to high.

Since 1998 I never had said I WISH I HAD ONE. 808 pictures later.

But I tried to do some self recording and have had great success with a camcorder. Put would not take it out when a chance of rain or bowhunting from a stand was to much trouble. Just 25 dollars a week and by the end of August I will have enough.

Plus when taking my kid hunting it is too much for me to make sure he is doing everything ok and this is the ticket.

If not just for the still pictures I can get after filming will be worth every penny.

This whole last fall and spring with 13 plus bucks chasing one doe, 6 gobblers at 10 yards, watching gobblers fly from roost. I WISH is what I said. This will be the last year you will ever here me say I WISH while hunting.

I'm with everyone else... $400.00 for the kit when it doesn't even include a camera is a little expensive for my blood.

It looks like it would be a great tool...for about $200.00 less.

I'm sure it is nice and all, but I figure it is just one more thing to either get in the way or come loose and fall off your hat just as you are about to release your arrow.

Not sure.

I WISH I HAD LIST!!!!!
Had a 8 point buck step over my leg.
Had a 450 feral hog chase me.
Had turkeys knock my bow out of my hand.
Had an experience with deer,bow,two horses and two riders. Long story.
13 plus bucks chasing one doe.
6 gobblers at 10 yards.
Winter flock of 300 plus turkeys.
All the wild times and all the peaceful times.
All the shots missed, All that harvest taken.

I have a ton of scouting footage and even some box blind hunting footage of youth turkey season.

Tried to video and bow hunt one time. The video was fine but had it mounted and ended up on an angle to video.

It may not be for everyone just like a CAMTRAKKER is not for everyone. But, if it only does half of what the video shows. To me it will be worth every penny.

I'm pretty sure I have time for that story.

The cam looks neat, but too pricey. I use my DV cam its small enough to fit all over. Probally with a little work come up with a head mount for it. For alot less.
