I bet she tasted mighty fine. Congrats on the nice deer bobcat. They are all trophies in the belly.

Bobcat,

I shot 2 little ones last year. The first was bigger than yours but the second looks like her twin. I gave the deer to my uncle as he got skunked last year but has a reputation as a bambi killer. I just gutted & skinned it then cut the whole thing in half below the ribcage (Course I removed the backstraps & fillets first) & it fit in a large cooler with ice.
Only thing he said when he looked in the cooler was that he hoped it wasnt a dog.

Personally I'm a meat hunter & the little ones are good eating & if theres an abundance of deer in an area I see nothing wrong with taking a small one. I know alot of hunters who dont have venison in the freezer because they only want that monster buck. I learned along time ago that you cant eat antlers.

Congratulations on a fine deer kill!

Just like Leverdude said, "if there's an abundance of deer", like we have in this State, I'd much rather take two small ones than one big one. My landowners want 'numbers' down and, if you eat your game, the smaller ones taste a lot better than the bigger ones.

And the other thought I have is how much smaller the target is to effectively hit.

If I want to give someone a little honest ribbing because he shot a deer the size of a pomeranian then I will do it. If he were a hunting parnter of mine he would likely never hear the end of it for the rest of his life.

It is all in good fun... at least comment was, anyway.

To all: if you think you can post a picture of a deer that you killed that would lose a fight against a bunny rabbit, and not get at least a little good-natured ribbing for it, prepare for an awakening.
