My Bow Quest has come to an end!!! Also sight Q?
I have been saying I am getting a new bow for about a year now and I have finally made my choice. I just got back from shooting some mathews and I am in awe at the outback! I seriously cannot explain how sweet this bow is. I shot some of the other mathews and there is no comparison, the bow literally is dead in your hands when you shoot. I'll be purchasing this bow next week but I have a quick question about sites. This will be a huge upgrade for me and on my current bow I have a 30 dollar sight. I only shoot one pin so is it really going to benifit spending money on a nicer sight? I can justify spending the money on the bow but I'm not sure about the sight. Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the mood for a new sight too. Every thing I like is so dang expensive. I'll agonize over it for a while and then bite the bullet. I have a Scott Mountain deal right now. I want to get one that has a perfectly round pin guard so I can center it more easily in my peep.

I guess what I'm trying to say is a better site going to make me shoot any better? Is it a waste to put a cheap site on a expensive bow?

No, it won't make you shoot any better. But, it might make it easier to shoot better, I've been using a Toxonics Hybrid III, and shooting pretty well with my new bow. But, I'm looking to get a sight with micro-adjustments (and smaller pins) on it soon, it just seems like it would be so much more precise. Of course, I'm a bit of a gearhead anyway and really like to fine tune things as much as possible, if all I wanted to do was hit a 6" circle at thirty yards then I wouldn't consider it that good of an investment. It's all about what you're trying to do.
