RE: Mechanical or Fixed Broadheads?????
I prefer mechanical over fixed. With fixed I always have to sight them in differently than my fieldtips, but mechanicals are always 100% on with my fieldtips. I shoot Rocket Hammerheads and they have been great heads for me.

RE: Mechanical or Fixed Broadheads?????
I certainly won't speak for just any mech b-head BUT I will stand behind the incredible line-up of ROCKET "deployable blade aeroheads". They have been better performers for me then any other b-heads I've ever used. Outstanding flight characteristics and incredible (nearly unstoppable) penetration make these my No. 1 choice. I also seriously doubt if anyone will dispute these heads awesome reputation. I beleive the Steelheads would be the best choice for many of todays bowhunters. I'm also very anxious to try the new '04 Steelhead XP series this fall. Here's a pic of a Steelhead 100 entry wound from 35 yards from one of last seasons deer. Just a devastating product!!!

RE: Mechanical or Fixed Broadheads?????
i shoot rocket sidewinders, i have had awesome results. they are mechanicals that shoot like lasers and knock the hell out of deer. every deer that i have hit with them has had an awesome blood trail, even on marginal hits. buck i shot this year, 28 yards, slightly quartering away, head entered a little high but was shooting from a treestand and went through the other shoulder blade and was sticking out about 2 inches on the other side with a 70lb mathews. i wouldn't trade these heads for anything else, even though u shoot them once and they are pretty much done but hey thats all you should need;):D
