Default 5 shot & Darton Rampage, happy couple!

well Thanks to Mrs 5 shot, and a lot of begging I got to get me a new deer slayer this year! I looked at and have shot just about everything out their, along with that I have read every post on every bow on this board! With all this information, and considering what I felt was important for me in a bow, I layed down the cash for a Darton Rampage. It was a tough choice between it and the Mavrick recurve, It took about an hour in the shop! The Rampage had a little more brace height, and was a little heavier, but was also a bit slower, but I felt it had a touch less bow jump and hand shock. I was suprised at how it just sat in my hand after the shot, All I had was a stabilizer, no limb savers or anything else. The Dartons draw so smooth it is unreal, almost like a soft two cam bow. I won't go on and on, and I am not saying Darton has the bow for you, but I will say that if you don't check them out before you buy a new bow you are making a mistake. They are very ajustable, smooth, fast, steady in the hand, and very little recoil or hand shock. My rampage may be a tad louder than those mathews, but Limbavers and sting whiskers will take care of it. Besides I go 2 count them 2 hats, of course they had the proshop name on them. LOL If anyone lives in Virginia and wants to check out a Darton at a great PRO shop, email me and I will set you set you up. I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to the shop, but it was well worth it for the service I got! Now I must go play.

Ahhh, another victim falls prey to the sweet caress of the Darton CPS cam. Welcome to the world of Darton 5 shot.

Talk about money burning a hole in you pocket!! What? you got the go-ahead from Mr.s 5-Shot to buy a new bow like 10 minutes ago!!
Man I thought for sure you'd savor this for a LONG long time.......maybe mulling over the final 2 choices by mid June.
Seems like a classic case of "Premature Bowelation"

Well congrats on the new bow.....they are nice and it should serve you well in any future orange slayings!

5 SHOT nice bow and congrats to you. Welcome to the cps system of bows. good luck to you and next season. The deer are in real danger. And like you said if someone does not check out darton before they buy a bow they are not doing themselves any favors.

Matt...I think you need some serious psychiatric help..."premature...."

5shot,

Congrats on the new bow. I sincerely hope that you keep us up to date as to your experiences with it over the next few weeks.

Ok, ok....I will look at the Dartons today too...if I don't get one this time around then it will probably be next on my list...

Hey congratulations on a fine choice. Sounds like the critters in Virginia are in serious trouble.

Matt you need help! I know it sounds like a quick choice, but I realy did do about 3 months worth of reasearch before buying. The only negitive I had with the bow was that it was a little louder than some others, but I put on a set of The PSE NV dampners and they realy worked well on the rampage. They didn't do much for a couple other bows I was shooting, but sure made this Darton quiet. now all I hear is the string. I will keep you all posted on my findings. I should get her shooting well by this weekend, or I hope to anyway.
