Bow only for big game and turkeys. I use a rifle for predator hunting and do some bird hunting with a shotgun.

I use a shotgun for rabbitt hunting but other than that it is 100% bowhunting for me.

I am starting my 48th year of Bowhunting Biggame with a Bow and Small game too. I have never bought a biggame gun tag in my entire life thou I have no problems with those who do. I just would not think I was having a good time if I hunted anything with a gun. The closeness & learning about the animal your hunting is as much of it to me as anything.

I'm going to have to get more consistent in getting turkeys with a shotgun though before I handicap myself even MORE by limiting my effective range!

I'll just be starting in bow hunting this year and his reply makes perfect sense to me . Why would you want to limit yourself to only one weapon ? Sometimes a bow just won't get the job done .

For me if I can't fill my tag with my bow who cares, I had a great time trying!
If I can't get one with the bow I don't want it! (deer & turkey)
