Default Thinking of trying different style of release..Your thoughts.

I am thinking of trying a back tension style release, particularly the tru ball pro diamond, and was wondering if anyone had used this type of release and what your thoughts are. I like the idea of being able to hang my release from my string loop and not have it strapped to my wrist. The only real concern I have is wether or not it would change my draw length.

SAPPER, the pro diamond is not a true back tension release. The pro diamond is however my main release for hunting. I also shoot the King George and would use it for hunting if it were not so loud. As far as changing your draw length, it is hard to say. Remember, that technically, your true draw length will never change (unless you grow). Your setting on your bow though may have to be changed depending on how you are shooting right not. It shouldn't be much however. If you can, I would suggest trying one out on your setup to see, and decide then.

A try BT release will not hang from the loop. However, some thumb triggers will. My wife hunts with a Carter Atension, hooks it to the loop when she's in the stand and leaves it there. Simple.
