I was just curious as to where you guys are getting the unavailable. I can get right in. But if you guys want to see it, shoot me an email and I will see if I can email it to you.

RE: deer kill on video

I got in the first time, but the second time it was unavailable.... the messege was:
"The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer
Access to this site will be restored within an hour"
They must not like people saving the video from your site.

Looks busted to me!

bummer...

RE: deer kill on video

BTW, that was a cool video. I have it downloaded, but the only problem with emailing it to people is that the file size is too large to send with email hosts like hotmail or yahoo.

Wee done . What was the range 10point? Did you spine her? If you did, no tracking necessary . How were you set up in relation to the cameraman?

That didn't appear to be a typical bow shot. Were you using c4 broadheads?

Spine shot? Dropped like a viper climbing stand.

I still get the error message. Says the site is down and will be back up in an hour.

RE: deer kill on video

here is the story the deer came off the hill about 15-20 yards from the camera man (my uncle) normally the deer cross the fence and go left up the fence row. The shooter(me) is to the left of the camera about 15 yards. normally the deer comes right in front of the shooter, but this deer had different ideas she went straight back to the brush I froze but my uncle made 2 bleats and the deer stopped and gave me a small window to shoot through. I made the 30 yard shot with a Diamond Hornet bow with spitfire 100 grain broadheads. the deer dropped about 4-5 inches before the arrow hit her the shot went through the front shoulder and into the spine. it did require a follow-up shot, I chose not to include that because some would criticize for that.

Question answered, I had never seen a bow kill drop like that. Thanks for clearing that up. I had to finish one off that I neck shot with a gun once, it was not an easy thing to do and it was the first and the last time I will ever neck shoot a deer.

I'm gettin it right now, I'm sure it'll be great. I have many animals, a coyote kill and deer kill on video. How do you get them to a cd? And then link them?

IL_BOW_MAN 02-22-2002 08:53 PM

RE: deer kill on video

I was more than happy to work on that for you 10Pointer. That was something I wanted to give a try anyway.

Froman, I borrowed a friends video card that has analog inputs, then I connected the vcr via rca chords. The video card was an ATI All In Wonder card. Farily expensive, and there are others on the market. I believe they come with the needed software to make it happen.

Good shot, and cool video. Any shot that puts 'em down like that is good by definition.

Nice work.
