This upcomming season will only be my 3rd. However, I havent harvested a deer yet. My first season I only used a recurve (didn't have the money to purchase a compound). During my second season I bought a used pearson. At the end of last season I bought a bowtech stalker but I havent gotten a chance to hunt with it. Anyways, here is the question....as I said I'm about to start my 3rd season and I was wondering what is the average number of seasons most of you have gone before harvesting your 1st deer.

This season will also be my 3rd with bow 5th season over all. And I too have not killed a deer with a bow yet.

It took me three years as well!!! Hang in there my third season I got two!

My first bow season I took an 8 pointer on October 17th. At the time we had a 1 deer per season limit, so I was done but happy.

i kill my 1st my 3rd year of gun season which was my 1st bow season.

I too took my first bow harvest on my third season.
It was a doe and i was shooting an Onieda Eagle H250.
I still remember that day as though it were yesturday ..
It was Oct 21 1980.
