Default CARBON EXPRESS TERMINATOR'S ????

I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE ARROWS? I SHOOT THEM INTO A CARDBOARD PRESS TARGET AND THEY ARE PRETTY EASY TO REMOVE AND IT SINKS THEM ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH THE TARGET. NOW I AM GETTING WHAT LOOKS LIKE MAYBE THE BLACK COLORING OF THE ARROW IS STARTING TO COME OFF TOWARDS THE FIELD POINT END. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF MAYBE THIS IS DAMAGING THE ARROW OR JUST THE BLACK COLORING ON THE SHAFT COMING OFF. HOPEFULLY THIS IS NOT SPINE DEGREDATION, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON.
THESE ARE DEFINATELY SOME OF THE BEST SHOOTING ARROWS I HAVE SHOT, AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM. JUST KINDA CURIOUS I GUESS.

I've been shooting some CX Terminator Selects that JeffB sent me last fall. They are the best non-aluminum arrows I've ever shot. They still shoot broadheads just as well today as they did the day I got them. But these are the SELECTS, not the standard Terminators.

Also, they are not carbon. They're fiberglass/carbon composite, which gives them a nice bump in weight and why they penetrate so well. I wouldn't start worrying about the color coming off until you can actually see the fiberglass weave underneath the outer covering.

WELL ARTHUR, WHAT I SEE IS THAT THE BLACK COLORING OF THE SHAFT IS STARTING TO COME OFF. UNDERNEATH IS A BROWN COLOR. IF I START WEARING DOWN INTO THE FIBERS WHAT DOES THAT DO.

ALSO DO YOU SHOOT YOUR SELECTS INTO A CARDBOARD PRESS OR HAVE YOU EVER SHOT ANY ARROWS INTO ONE, LET ME KNOW HOW THEY HELD UP IF YOU HAVE. THANKS.

When you start getting down to the fibers, that's when you start wearing on the actual construction of the arrow. Not good.

I've shot these into bag targets, 3D's, dirt banks, tin cans, plastic bottles tree trunks, old tires, cow pies... No problems or wear.

I did get one of them T-boned by another arrow at a 3D shoot. It nocked the covering off in one small spot about halfway up the shaft. I took the arrow home, checked it for cracks, spine discrepency and straightness. It was fine. I'm still shooting it.

I have 3 dozen of the Terminator Hunter arrows that I've been shooting for almost 3 years now, and they still fly as true as the day I bought them. I dont use them with my new Bowtech, however, because they were an inch too short. [:@]

I used to shoot the CE Terminator 60/75's which comes helically fletched. They group excellently and were quite durable. Now I shoot Beman ICS Hunter's....they are abit lighter so I get more speed out of them. I have 2 degree offset vanes on them...they group well, but not as well at the CE helically fletched arrows.

I JUST BOUGHT THE CARBON EXPRESS CX 300'S AND THEY COME IN AT 8 GRAINS PER INCH COMPARED TO MY TERMINATORS THAT COME IN AT 10.7 GRAINS PER INCH. NOW I KNOW THAT THE CX 300'S WILL FLY FASTER AND FLATTER BUT SHOULD THEY GROUP IN THE SAME SPOT AS MY TERMINATORS OR WILL I HAVE TO CHANGE MY SIGHTS TO COMPENSATE FOR THE FLATTER TRAJECTORY.
