I have a buddy of mine who wants to hand his current bow down to his son and get him a new one. Problem is, he's on a limited budget and will only be able to spend about $500. It looks like their package has some good quality stuff with it, but I'm not sure about the bow. Can anyone suggest an alternate and keep the total rigged out budget to around $500? Of course, I'd like to see him shooting a Bowtech, but I don't know if we can get there with a Bowtech.

For what it is worth I thought the Outfitter PL1 was a really nice little bow. Definitely on par with the price they are asking for it. It is a good alternative for those looking to try a parallel limb bow without the super high price tag.
