I can't get the video to load either... [:@]

I had to try about 5 times but I was finally able to see the video. This deer is surrounded by a ton of controversy, but it's still very interesting to me. I've read a few articles about they guy and Rompola marches to a different drummer. I personally believe that the deer is real. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. [8D]

Probably going to catch some flak for this but even though I don't know if the buck was a fake or not. Igrew up in the mountians and know quite a few people around here that would do the same thing if confronted by lawyers from a big company. I do know that I would almost rather rompala hold the record as I would Milo Hansen, who realy wasn't a hunter just aman who lived in the town and was in town when someone came into town talking about a big deer that was seen going into a patch of timber. They organized a drive and Milo just happened to be posted at the spot the deer came out, now he's going around the country charging $1000 a day to teach people how to hunt. When he was at the buckarama in Atlanta on top of his apperance fee he put his deer in a seperate room and charged $5.00 just to come in to see his deer and anouther $5.00 to take a picture. At least Rompala is a bowhunter who has taken several nice bucks with his bow that aren't disputed and maybe, just maybe he isn't greedy, strange concept in this day and age.

MAYBE SO BUCKSHOT, BUT LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE RACK IN MY LINKS. AT THE BASES OF THE MAIN BEAMS YOU HAVE THAT DISCOLORATION AND AT THE BASES OF A FEW OTHER POINTS. THEN IN THE OTHER PICTURE AFTER THE BUCK WAS MOUNTED THE DISCOLORATION IS GONE, WHAT HAPPENED TO IT. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT THE DEER IVE HAD MOUNTED CAME BACK ALMOST EXACTLY THE WAY THEY WERE GIVEN TO THE TAXIDERMIST. PLUS THE SPACE BETWEEN THE BURRS IS HUGE. WELL I GUESS IT JUST COMES DOWN TO THE FACT THAT I AM A COP AND WHEN THE EVIDENCE POINTS IN A CERTAIN DIRECTION I TEND TO LEAN THAT WAY. IMHO

NOW HERE'S A PIC OF THE BUCK AFTER HE HAD A CHANCE TO CLEAN UP HIS MISTAKES. NOTICE THERE'S A BETTER COLOR PROGRESSION THAN THE PIC RIGHT AFTER HE ALLEDGEDLY HARVESTED HIS BUCK. ALSO NOTICE ON THE PIC THAT THE DEER'S RIGHT EAR IS HANGING WAY DOWN AND THAT THERE IS BLOOD COMING OUT OF IT. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A DEER GETTING A BRAIN INJURY FROM GETTING SHOT WITH AN ARROW IN THE BRISKET.

I WILL NEVER BELIEVE THAT HE IN FACT HARVESTED THIS BUCK UNTIL HE HAS THE SKULL CAP X-RAYED. JUST TOO MUCH CONTROVERSY. BUT IT SURE DOES MAKE FOR GOOD GOSSIPING.

I believe the buck is real.I've read every article I could find on this buck and Mitch Rompola. He has harvested many B&C bucks in his hunting days and did not register all of them.I believe he does not want to be a "publicity hunter" even though it could make him a lot of money touring with his buck.I believe Milo Hanson is into it for the money not the sport, and that is why Milo had mitch sign a gag order not to ever show the buck, because they know it is real...

I can't say if the buck is real or not but if he faked it he did it in a hurry. The buck in the video has not been gutted and shows no signs of rigor mortis because he lifts the head and the neck bends its not stiff. Every deer I have killed, after a few hours is stiff as a board. Seems like a pretty good trick to have done such a good job so quickly and be as dumb as people make him out to be. It has to make you wonder a little bit?
