Ok guys, I know this has been done many times before, but hey, I see many new faces around. Besides, It's midnight, I cant sleep, and I'm bored. [8D] So what broadheads do you shoot?

100 grain Rocket Steelheads for me.

Muzzys, Rockets, Grim Reapers at the present time. Soon there will be Hypershocks and Phantoms joining them. I give them all a try. The Muzzys, however, are my staple.;)

I shot the montecs last season and now for this season I'm going to try the Gator xp's.

I use to be a hardcore Muzzy fan but have since switched to Steelforce Premium 2 blade. They fly and perform awesome...I can't say enough about the Customer support they offer customers as well. The other BH I would use is a Magnus Stinger, same as the steelforce it exceled in flight and performance. I however have run into a supply issue up here in Canuck land with these heads. If you want sharp out of the package and retention of sharpeness these ones are among the best I have used.

skeeter 7mm---I hear you, I too am a muzzy fan, BUT, am seriously considering the Magnus stinger in 125-4-blade for this year. I've never shot them, but am positive they'll fly fine. ---- Friend of mine shoots the montec G5, I don't like how thin and petite the tip and first 1/2" of it looks. For elk I want something much more solid and stable looking for that less than perfect shot near bone areas. Hopefully that doesn't happen, but sh#! happens, and I want to be prepared!!! elknut1

Rocket Steelhead 100s and Hammerhead 100s though I do keep a Muzzy in the quiver as well.

I've shot a lot of different stuff..Muzzys, Thunderheads, Wasp SST, RM Ironheads, Tri-Loc, Pucketts (cough..major CRAP..cough) , RazorRings (cough..more CRAP...cough), Titans (cough..even more CRAP..cough), the list goes on.... For the past 4 years I've shot Rockets pretty much exclusively (steelhead 100s & 125s).

This year I'd like to experiment w/ several different fixed and mech heads. I bought some Scorpion XPs last year and I got a couple of wobbly ferrules and don't know if I'll give 'em a second chance. Currently I'm messing around w/ some NAP Razorbacks at 276 FPS. Fly great, easy to re-sharpen... but I must admit I prefer the wider cuts of the mechs, and may just end up w/ Rocket Sidewinders or Vortex 3 blades.

I've got a broadhead box full of broad heads but right now my 2 favorites are the Gator XPs and the Magnus Stingers.

I'm shooting the good old Thunderhead 100's. They never fail :) I'd like to try out the G5 Montecs and the new NAP Razorbaks.

I'm giving away my collection of 100 grain broadheads...........and have sworn to only shoot my 125 grain Spitfire Pro Series from here on out !!


But those new G5 expandables look interesting........and I always wanted to try their Montec too.......and try some Magnus Stingers........and I got Muzzy's flying good right now ..........and :D !!

For leagues- 100 gr. slick tricks, 75 or 100 gr. Rockies, or 100 gr. Muzzy

For deer- All of the above, Wasp Jackhammers, and 125 Muzzy.

Moose- 125 gr. Muzzy

Zwickey Black Diamond 2 blade. Complete pass through on every animal I've ever shot.

I'm thinking about switching to the Nugent blade this year simply because they come with the inserts already glued in, which is the biggest pain in the butt for me. If you don't get them just right and get an equal amount of glue around the insert it won't fly properly, and then you have to heat it up and move the insert until you get it perfectly straight. Not the worst thing in the world to have to do, but my first baby is gonna be poppin' out here very shortly and I'm not gonna have much free time anymore. :D

For the last couple of years I've been using the Wasp Jakhammer in 75 grain but this year I'm going back to the tried and true Muzzy 3 blade in 100 grain.

Magnus II's or Bear Razorheads. I've been using Razorheads since I was 10 years old. Tried for years to talk myself out of 'em, but can't. They just shoot too darn good. But I do like the old carbon steel ones better than the stainless ones today.

I think a better survey would be which type of broadheads people shoot. I would be interesting in seeing a comparison between cut on contact heads vs punch cut heads (Thunderhead style) vs open on impact heads.

So far it seems like punch cut style would be well in the lead, with the majority of people shooting Muzzy, followed by open on impact heads, and in last place my tried and true cut on contact heads. [8D]

I shoot NAP razorbacks. So far they have performed very well. I have also used wasp jackhammers, NAP thunderhead and RM titaniums.
