I guess it would be personal preference. I dont know anything about Brownell selling their own strings , but I know Hoyt uses Brownell for their strings and I really like the Brownell strings over any of my former stock mfg strings. I think I recall others that weren't happy with their Hoyt strings , but I have had great luck with mine. I've even been thinking of making my own strings with the Brownell.
