I have seen them while hunting, but Im in PA. They are very quite little creatures, cant hardly hear them walkin. If you do get one and get it mounted dont take it to the guy that did these 2.

Every time I look at these mounts I die laughing. :DI can't take it. Terrible job but they are friggin hilarious to look at. Sorry man.

Came almost nose to nose with one while I was picking morel mushrooms. I don't know who was more scared, but I left a big bag of mushrooms when I left. Tore some clothes on the run back to the truck.[:@]

He had some of the same colors of the pics above but didn't have the comical looks on his face that those do.

I am sorry Shadow - I hate to bust other peoples mounts - I am sure you used some hard earned money on them.

If it is any consolation to you - They bring a very large smile to my face every time I look at them:D:D

I actually want one[:o]

I had one cross the road at my construction site. I'll bet he weighed 35-40 pounds. Huge.

YUP.... a couple of times. Had one at about 8 or 10 yards on one occasion. I heard him coming from 150 yards away. Every squirrel in the woods announced his arrival and passed him off as he came through. I was burning holes in the woods trying to see the big buck I knew was coming to some scrapes. When this squirrel one tree away started making a racket I thought I'd been spotted but then saw him hanging upside down scolding the ground. Then this bobcats head popped up out of the ferns like a jack in the box in slow motion. He circled around my tree and when he hit the trail I walked in on he went super stealth. He was looking everywhere for the danger. Made a complete 360 around me tree to go back where he came from. It was so cool I didn't have the heart to shoot him.

The second time was this year. He suddenly appeared on a big tree blown down about 80 yards from my stand. Absolutely huge blonde phased cat. I was in the same tree I took the camo pictures of the other day. I wasn't sure what it was at first due to some brush. I slowly raised my binos to look between two of the 3 trees in the group of 3 I'm in. He spotted that slight movement in a heart beat. As I looked through the binos he bored holes in me with his eyes. He dropped behind the log and appeared at the far end of it. Just peeking up to see if I was still there. He disappeared like a shadow on a cloudy day. He was there and gone. I wouldn't have had the heart to shoot him either. Just gorgeous.

RE: Ever Seen a Bobcat while hunting?

I see them all the time. I have shot a few with a bow but they are fast, and will jump the arrow. I have started shooting right over their back and they will jump into the arrow. I try to kill everyone I run across. My favorite bobcat story happened to me this fall while deer hunting. I had a turkey hen come out and was clucking and strutting for about ten minutes or so. I had pretty much lost interest in watching the hen when a big tom came out and started chasing the hen. That old tom chased that turkey for a good ten minutes or so. From tree to tree up down sideways. Was probably the neatest thing I have ever saw. He was so tired and winded that he sat in an opening just staring at the turkey. It looked like wiley coyote and the roadrunner. Im sure you know what happened next. That bobcat died of acute lead poisoning, just couldnt let a cat that agressive go with all the cattle we have.
