RE: Jennings Speedstar
I had a Speedstar XLR for two years in the late '90s. The bow was pretty quiet, as Limb Savers weren't out yet when I was shooting it. The nock travel on some of these early single cams made them a challenge to tune, IMO. I did finally get my Jennings shooting well, and shot quite a few groups of 2 1/2" or less with broadheads at 30 and even 40 yards. I found the grip to be too thick and "torquey", and shot better off the riser padded with moleskin. I certainly like my present Bowtech better than that old Speedstar, but the Jennings would still get the job done if I had to borrow it from the friend I gave the bow to.
