I don't know why anyone would take a challenging shot at a living creature. Starting out a challenging shot was the first deer kill. Maybe you should ask half the people who replied to what they have killed with a bow. Some of those animals sound like only a challenging shot unlike killing and eating deer. Then agian maybe someone knows a good recipe for ground hounds, oppossum, cyotes or mice. Do you think they taste like chicken?

IT is possible as i've found another seat on a couple occasions.
What really sucked is back when I use to work at a shop and those people that truly get under your skin would come in. It's hard to get up and leave in that situation and sometimes it's even harder to bite your tongue

I have seen many of times on videos that 2 deer could be taken at 1 time by gun, but the hunters are ethical and wait for the right shot. I hunt to make that 1 good shot. I would never think about trying to shoot 2 deer with 1 arrow. It's hard enough keeping your composure to shoot just 1 deer. I wouldn't risk the chance at injuring another animal!

You know , this thread started out as one that I'd simply reply....yeah I've heard of it too but have never seen it done.
After watching fieldmouse get bombarded , I think in his replys he's trying to touch on an interesting subject.
Is it the fact that people consume venison that puts deerhunting in the "must use ethics" category? I dont think I'd see anyone complaining if this thread were about taking two coyotes with one shot or three groundhogs with one shot from 500 yds away. How about another edible animal (not that yotes or groundhogs aren't edible[:'(])such as a squirrel or rabbitt? I'm pretty sure most of you wouldn't hesitate at flinging an arrow at two squirrels doin the nasty in hopes of getting two with one shot.
I personally have too much respect and love for whitetail deer to even think about that type of shot. But lets look at this from another point of view. Most of us think of coyotes as a nuisance animal. Now turn the table and imagine if you were somebody (for whatever reason) that looked at deer as a nuisance animal.
If fieldmouse makes anyone "sick" , then I'd hope that you would have the same feelings towards anyone that boasts about taking any type of unethical shot (with any type of weapon) at any type of animal edible or unedible!

Very well said Bowfanatic. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
Personally, I hold whitetail deer in higher regard than a coyote. I'm not sure why, I guess it has to do with how much I love to bowhunt and how much respect I have for my quarry.
I would NEVER attempt to take 2 deer with one shot, but on the other hand I wouldn't hesitate to take 2 coyotes with one shot. I think it all revolves around respect and how you percieve your quarry.
