23 day gun season?

23 day gun season?
Wisconsin is thinking about implementing a 23 day deer season to replace the 9 day season so they will not have to go to the "earn-a-buck" and "T-zone" stipulations. This would mean getting rid of the separate muzzleloader season.Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

RE: 23 day gun season?
Yes, keep the 9 day as it stands!! Go to earn a buck in the few areas if you have to. Do you think if guys have 23 days to hunt they are going to shoot more does?? Ya right. They are just going to hold out for a buck longer. How do you think late season archery is going to be after they have been pressured for the last 23 days?? Up north, they didn't have t-zone due to snowmobiling in Dec. If they go to 23 days that runs right into the late t-zone dates. I might as well take my muzzleloader & use it for a tree stake. Why would I use one if I could be using my rifle?? There are alot of people that only hunt the muzzle season because it is quieter in the woods etc. Its been 9 days for many years Let bowhunters earn their archery & rifle buck tags during the bow season if they wish.
