25 acre patch so thick it took me 45 minutes to get him 100 yards. His horns kept getting tangled up in "Wait a minute" vines and stuff. It wasn't he was so heavy(185 dressed), just a knee/belly crawling drag. I could see the roofs of three houses when I shot him.

Damn Big Boys always heading for swamps or the thickest, gnarlyest crap on God's green earth. One of Joe's, this year ended up in a dry creek bed with about 10 ft., practically shear sides, oh boy, that was exercise!!!

My biggest so far: 162 1/8", mainframe 5x5 with a 2"+ kicker off each brow tine...

First one this past year...

...and talk about 'em heading toward the thick stuff! This one ended up in a CRP field about 70 yards away; you can see it's over our heads!!

I couldn't resist...as of right now it's the largest bow kill in Kentucky for 2003, 180 and 5/8ths. I may never have a chance at a buck of this quality in my life, but I get to look at this guy everyday. Kelly

quick question, Kelly... seems like a slightly incongruous statement. On one hand, you say you "may never have a chance at a buck of this quality in my life", but it appears as though you're the one who killed him. Did I miss something? Or, did you mean, never may see one like him again? I'm pretty sure that's what ya meant... and, if so, congratulations on an incredible deer!
