How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

RE: How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

Well I have a major purchase pending....a new bow. So I will be spending a bunch more than usual. Excluding a major purchase I spend way less than a $100 on gadgets/gizmos over the course of a year. Probably less than $50 most years. Then again, I'm not new at this and I have a lot of stuff already.

Up tp $1400 this year.............it'll be the end of me. Now that's only because I bought a new bow for the first time in 13 years and rotated everyhting out, so that's not normal..............lucky for me!

"No new bow seasons" I spend probab;y around $300.

Based on the fact tahat I've already bought a new bow and the accessories that go with it.....you could say $4-6K (including at least one trophy hunt).
Just got my cabela's, year end statement and I think I spent 5K last year there alone.

RE: How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

Well I have already spent about $1650 so far. I figure another $1000 is a safe bet (that is a license, archery tag, gas back and forth, motel rooms and some accessories). So $2600-$2800

Got a new bow coming. Probably go thru a couple dozen arrows. Gotta renew my membership in Traditional Bowhunters of Texas. Hunting/fishing license. Club officers have their dues paid by the club, so I'm off the hook there... again. And the miscellanious stuff that always comes up... I guess about $400, all told. But I'll sell off some stuff (sights, releases and such) I don't use any more, so that will offset some of the expense.

[:'(]

Just bought a new sight and the NV system for my bow and looking at a new rest, thinking about a drop away, but haven't made the move yet. Excluding my trip to Canada probably about $500 total, I have to buy my youngest daughter her first bow.

I went on 9 out of state Bowhunts last year-logged 12,000 miles from the trips.
How much do you think my GAS bill was?
Headed out for Buffalo Bowhunt the 20th of March & another Bowhunt to Texas in Sept. & then a week in Wisconsin plus maybe a out of state (or 2) Spring Turkey PLUS all the Bowhunting at home. I will be Bowhunting Whitetails in Iowa & filming my son & Brother in Illinois (my ORIGINAL) home state.
I just feel fortunate to be able to SPEND the TIME "AND" money on Bowhunting.
Starting my 47th year of a GREAT SPORT...

I've got a baby due in March, so this year I'm going to have to be a little easier on the checking account than usual. Tags, liscense and a new string should be about it. Less than 100 bucks.

Well I know It will be $1000 in lease fees and that don't include propety taxes on my farm. Last years total was close to $5000 hopefully this years will be less.

Probably be over 2000 plus, if you add all expenses. License, tags, gas, food, archery supplies, yep, adds up in a hurry, But sure enjoy it, so I won't worry about cost!! :D

RE: How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

Probably under $200 this year, unless I get that big one for the wall. I got a new bow this past year and i didnt lose any arrows, so I wont need anything in that department. I might get a new release tho. I have 4 stands allready, and not much room for any more, so I wont need one of those. The only thing I can think of is I would like to get some more camo.

You know, it always seems to add up one way or another! This year probably $1500 but then again I just spent $550 for a new bowfishing rig, and I want to totally redo my food plots, add 6 new permanent portables, get a climber, and the list never stops....does it! I'm hope it stays under $3000 this year!

Its too much fun!

RE: How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

Not much.

Gonna get another cam put on my bow, already have the cam, and have the string and harness replaced..........that's it.

Still have my carbon arrows...........oh, I'm gonna have my arrows refletched.

RE: How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

Well, got a new bow in late '03, and I don't do that too often, dropped over 1K for that set-up, plus misc. stuff. This year, probably need some new arrows, broadheads, gonna get a rangefinder, maybe a new release. I usually hunt on public land, but that has been unproductive for me (just gettin back into the sport, never did any out of state stuff). I may get some out of state tags this year, plus my local tags, probably will spend about 500-600.

For just bowhunting I would say somewhere around 100-200 dollars. For just hunting in general....over $1000 probably.

I usually average about $2500. per year, but a new bow is in the works so this year will probably be about $3500.

RE: How much $$ do you plan on spending this year?

Geez,
I've told my wife I'd try to keep it under $500.

Lets see, Mathews Outback, $200.
New Drop Away rest, $30
New Double Bull Blind, $100
New bow case, $50
Dozen arrows, $20
New Gortex, Scent Lok suit, about $75.

Lets see...That leaves me about $25 for a Montana Whitetail tag around the Milk River area.

You guys are unbelievable! Your wives let you spend that kind of money? My wife said I could only spend around 500.[X(]
You guys are nuts!
