Default buckmaster G2 and G2SL info

i have a question about buckmasters G2 bow...im looking into getting a bow for deer hunting in fall and i was going to get a buckmasters G2 but i noticed that in cabelas turkey 2004 magazine they have a buckmasters G2SL which is cheaper and i was wondering if there is a difference between the 2??? is the SL just a turkey bow or can it be used on deer???

I believe that the only difference is the SL has the Simms Limbsavers already on the bow.

The G2 is 31 inches from axle to axle whereas the G2SL is 30 inches from axle to axle. The G2SL also does not have the built-in Sims dampeners in the riser like the G2 and G2XL do but rather has a pair limbsavers factory mounted on the limbs. The reason for that is because NAAG used the Rackmaster riser in the G2SL and there is not enough room for the Sims modules.

You have to go with what is more comfortable. I personally like the SL. Shoot them if possible. Then choose.

For me, the SL model is approaching that range where it becomes difficult for me to shoot because of my draw length. Plus the actual difference in length between the two is not really that substantial. If you think about it you could get the G2 and then add limbsavers on it later if you wish. You cannot get the SL and then add those G2 riser dampeners afterwards.

Either would be a good choice but I would probably go with the G2.
