Good job on the buck sure feels good doesn't it. My largest is a 4pt. By western standards 5 pts on each side. We dont count the brow tines. So it was I guess a 10 pt. The deer weighed 300 lbs on the hoof.(mulie)The spread on this one was about 22 inches. Not a big rack but a huge body. Biggest rack was a 3 pt. 8pt eastern count. The rack was 25 inches wide and equally as tall with broaches as big as your wrist, body on that was about 250 lbs. We wont talk about the massive non-typical I messed up on last year. Great Job!

well this is the story

Last week my buddy that owns 400 acres just down the road from me and asked me to go huntin. I told him, hell yea i'll go huntin, because i hadn't really got that much time to hunt this season with work and the kids, but i had a couple of days off and i was ready to go. so the next mornin he takes me in before daylight and puts me in a ladder stand. It was in the woods about 200 yards off of an alfalfa field. He told me that the deer would be comin off of the field since they had probably been feeding all night. Well, that SOB musta lied cuz i didnt see one friggin deer. So about 10 o'clock i decide to get down and head back to the truck, which is parked about 600 yards from me. I walked about 200 yards, and then this HUGE 14 pt just jumps up out of the brush about 65 yards from me and stands there it only took me about half a second to draw my ol' recurve and drop that buck right there. Man, i was so excited.
