Default Sad news!!

Well I have some bad news. I hunt in ky. And I just called a friend and it appeared around the first of the month they found a 23yearold kid dead in his tree. I don;t no the specifics yet. When I find out I will let you know. He had a daughter and a wife. I think he was using a climber.
I tell you this makes you think. You can never be to safe in a tree. I can't tell you how many times I have taken chances. Always where a good safety harness. I never met the guy but my buddue did, he said he was a nice guy.
be safe everyone.

ya know its really sad that maybe 10 min. at the most and the young man may still be here.but you know how you are when you are young--everyone thought it would not happen to them.the majority of us have done it one time or another--been in our stand with out a safety harness on and caught ourselves falling asleep and about ready to fall out.you get the chance to do something about it then but there are always a few that dont get that second chance.i feel for his wife and kids for it is always sad when a love one is gone.i just lost my brother about a week ago--he passed away in his sleep! god bless him--he will always be with me were ever i go.but it is not the same and never will be when you lose a family member.i feel there pain

That's really sad to hear and my heart goes out to his family. I never shot from a treestand but if and when i do, i'll use a safety harness. I think not using one is just plain asking for an accident or even death, case of death being with that guy [:'(]

Lets not speculate, The police only released like a 5 sentence statement. THey haven't coomented since. I will call the police dept. tommorow and see if they are saying anything.
The 23yearlold was found by his friends and they called the police. The police said he was 40 foot up in a tree. That is far up but still we can not speculate.
When I find out more I will post it.
be safe
