Well...I've never talked to another archer about it...but personally, shooting from one knee is natural and easy for me. If you're having troubles the only thing I know to suggest is: Perfect practice makes perfect.

Maybe change knees? It's doing something to screw with your form or body/target position. Check your hand position.

Kneel on both knees. It's a lot more stable shooting position.

This is something that requires very good upper body form.Understanding proper form and being able to get as much in position as you can.You need your body perpendicular to the target and your upper body must have everything in a straight line, from bow arm all the way through your release elbow.Anytime a part of your body leaves the straight line, your shot will be off.

This is also a shot that requires perfect draw length setting on the bow.If you are really having trouble,it may be due to the draw length being too long. This is because you can't swing your hips forward to get that little extra in draw and now holding steady is almost impossible. If you do swing your hips forward while on 1 knee, you become very unbalanced.

;) I practice that shot position very often because I enjoy ground hunts. Have a professional watch you closely for a couple of grouping sessions. Like any shooting position form is of utmost importance. Your instructor might detect a common error you are repeating unknowingly. When I have problems from the kneeling position it is often a slight canting of my bow. It could be you need a broader spread between your ground knee and your anchoring foot. Good luck. Like I said it is most likely a slight flaw that can be overcome by practicing correct form.

As already said it takes practice, I shoot better on one knee, I am right handed and if I can prefer to be on my right knee, however I practice on both my left and right knee, and both knees. To me the hardest one I found to adjust to is both knees. To me the secret to it is to maintain the same alignment from the hips up to the target that you have when standing.

I think TFox hit the nail on the head.....You need your body perpendicular to the target and your upper body must have everything in a straight line, from bow arm all the way through your release elbow.Anytime a part of your body leaves the straight line, your shot will be off. This is also a shot that requires perfect draw length setting on the bow

I practice this shot at home for emergency hunting tactics. If you are right handed shooter, be down on your right knee, if you are a lefty, go down on your left.;)

Sitting on your heels works well too.
