u want me to be real critical? now i am not a pse fan but i have shot some before and i can tell u a little about this bow. from the looks of it, it has all cheap equipment on it. now in the past, i have found that some archery equipment is cheaper for a reason which can mean less accurate. the bow looks like it has a good amount of felt recoil. This would be a nice bow to get started with. i bought a hoyt intruder as my first bow and have since moved up to mathews z-max and now a mathews legacy. Its hard for me to go back and look at fords when i am driving a cadillac. all this is just my option. if i were u i would have down to the local archery shop that might have that bow and shoot it before u buy it. u don't have to buy from them if the price is higher than cabelas but u get the service that the local guys have. shot it, if u like it, get it

buckmastr229 I just bought this bow 3 weeks ago. This is a very good bow at a very good price. I went shooting with some people who had $1000 Mathews bows and equipment. Professional shooters. I shot this bow with them and shot extremely good. They were very impressed. I almost tied them. (I am a beginner with bows) I shoot quater size groups at 20 yards with this. It is very very accurate. As for the equipment, I like it. It came with everything I needed. The equipment isn't bad either. It all works together so you can shoot more accurately. You can't go wrong with this bow. You can adjust the draw length (IE if you bought the 27" model you can adjust it to 26.5" and 27.5" with the 28" model, 27.5" 28.5". Tell me if you like it and feel free to ask me questions about this bow I would highly recommend it.

It is not a "bad bow". PSE makes some decent quality bows for just about every price range. The only draw back is the axle to axle length to some extent. If you are upgrading and or are a relative beginner then the axle to axle length might make it a little more critical to shoot.

An "in law" of mine bought this bow a year or two ago and I set it up for him. The accessories are not top notch but acceptable for the type and amount of hunting that he does. The bow shot very well both in his hands and mine though it took a bit of getting accustomed to for him as he was just coming off shooting a 42 inch "early '90s" PSE bow that weighed about as much bare bow as this bow does when it is fully loaded.

I would definitely keep it as an option but would suggest looking for something a bit longer in length.

It seems like the only difference in a $300 and a $600 dollar bow nowadays would be bragging rights.

I'd look into buying a used pro-shop bow.........Hoyt, Bowtech, Mathews, etc......

You'll pay a similar price and you'll have the option to upgrade components later. Now is the time to buy used with all the '04's coming out. You should be able to get a great deal on an '02 or '03.

Shoot high in terms of initial quality and don't be quick to purchase. You'll get a high end bow for some research and patience. Just my two cents.
