Melanism is rarer condition than pie-bald or albinoism. It's the same basic scenario tough...issues in the melanomes(sp) that alter pigmentation. This one was taken on a lease near Junction, Tx. and the shooter is doing a shoulder mount with the hide splayed on the wall behind it.

I've heard of people seeing these here in MI, but never seen one myself. Albino are protected in this state and while I don't think it mentions anything about melanisitics...I'm pretty sure you'd have a lot of publicity around here with one.
