PA, that is a great picture, some beautiful colors. Those
are Pennsylvania deer I'm assuming? Must be the light,
but the color of the forward buck's coat seems awful
light in color, especially for August. I'm also assuming
he shed his velvet recently with the reddish tint?

Two Beards,
Yes, they are Pennsylvania bucks. The picture was taken on some of the local state land that I hunt. I would assume that he did recently shed his velvet for several reasons not the least of which being that his buddy in the picture still has it on. I also found several rubs relatively close by in the days that followed. Here is another pic of the same buck.....

Yeah just to throw some info in here. The sheds of the top buck were found in spring 2003 they were just scored assuming it had an 18 inch inside spread. Gross was 168 7/8, net was 152 6/8.

Zingnut, is that pic real? It does not look proportionate to body size, etc, the rack is almost as tall as the deer. Looks like to me a pic of the sheds have been applied to a body. Not calling you out, just wondering if you're pulling our legs. If not, that is the strangest rack I have ever seen.
