Default Camo Clothing and scent control

I hunt in N.Y. and PA.I'm wondering what would be the best Camo for early season archery to the end of gun season?Oct.1 to Dec. 28.Advantage Timber,Mossy Oak Break-up,Realtree Hardwoods, Realtree X-tra Brown?I hunt from a stand most of the time, but also ground hunt.Do you think it"s worth the money to buy Scent-Lok clothing?

I never tried scent lock but I like the the new green hardwoods pattern from realtree and advantage timber. once the leaves start turning brown & start falling I move on over to realtree hardwoods & mossy oak breakup.

I am a fan of Mossy oak break up...I really don't think it matters though. Take a look at the Nat-Gear...I have some snow camo in that pattern...LOOKS GOOD!!!

As for sent-lok...it's awsome. There is no other way to describe it.

Good luck!

I would be more concerned about wearing the Scent-Lok itself than I would be the camo that is printed on it.All the Scent-Lok and the Scent Blocker line are offered in todays top quality camos and it would be hard to go wrong with any of 'em.Carbon clothes are NO gimmick, they work. There not a cure all for sloppy hunting, but when utilized as part of a bowhunting arsenal they will get you closer to game.I wear a Scent-Lok liner and then Scent Blocker camo over that. Then I spray everything down with Carbon Blast and if you give this system a try you WILL see results.

I would get the scent blocker liner, that way you can where it under other sets of camos. Its not a cure all though, you still have to shower with scent free soap, keep all hunting clothes scent free, boots, bow etc.because if you dont it doesnt matter how much scent blocker or scent lok you wear, your gonna get busted. And the commercial "forget the wind just hunt",thats B.S.Always pay attention to the wind, stay scent free and you will see more deer. Good Luck!!

around 12 years ago i bought some realtree advantage camo from cabelas.i use it for every thing from spring turkey to late season deer and predator hunting.i swear by it,i have had deer, turkey and coyotes 10 yards away and never know i was there as long as i don't move.for ny hunting this camo pattern seems to work real well when used with good common sence.as far as scent lock,i have never used it. but if it gives a hunter a little more of an edge, then its worth the money.

I would consider the scent-lok lined leafey wear. It really wouldn't matter what camo pattern. That is VERY nice camo for in Pennsylvania. It blends in well and breaks up your outline.

Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

camo pattern dosent matter just keep still. i buy whats on clearence each year. I also have a military chemical suit that I got for 30 bucks in woodland camo. Much cheaper than a scent lok and works as well.

I would not go hunting with Scent LOc, My picture of my Bear was in there Catalog last year. My favorite camo. is ASAT, I had a suit made of ASAT with a scent Loc lining. We have a farm in Iowa, that we see hunts on, no one hunts without Scent-Loc. If there is any questions I can ans. for you E Mail me [email protected]
