I've always had respect for Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers, but have been a [:'(]Vikings[:'(] fan for 40 years. I always knew Brett was an outdoorsman but didn't know he bowhunted. Not only that, but a couple of his team mates bow hunt too. Since the Vikes choked as usual, I was really hoping the Pack and Brett could make it to the Game.

Having lost his Dad, I can only imagine how the end of this season feels for him. He has nothing to hang his head for. Maybe he can get out back home and do some hunting, heal up, and spend some time with his family.

rcd567, I am right there with you buddy. Been a hardcore Vikes fan since I was old enough to know what football was. 39 years old now and still live for the Vikes and bowhunting. Once again I was dissapointed this season. So I too was pulling for the Packers, gotta stay in the NFC North ( that is still so wierd not saying central ain't it). There are two days of the year that I hate Brett Favre ( when we play them) but you gotta love him the rest of the time. Such a great competitor and a bowhunting fanatic so how can you not like him. But man what was he thinking. At first I thought Walker ran the wrong pattern and Favre was throwing her he was supposed to be. But at the replay, he just hung the ball up there without even looking. Real bad decision. I felt sorry for him because he has been on a tear since his dad passed away. I was hoping he could win the SB in his dad's honor.
I really don't favor the Eagles or the Panthers so I will be happy either way there. But in the AFC, I have to go for the Pats. I do not like Payton Manning one bit so I can't root for the Colts. I really like Tony Dungy ( of course I do, old Vikes Def. coord) so I would love to see him win it, but I just do not want to see Manning get it. He won't be passing all over the Pats D the way he did KC that is for sure. Pats are alot better on the D side. But, anyone can beat anyone in the FFL today. It just stinks that it is almost over for another season.

Just a guess but I think Brett was disgusted with the decision to punt. No reason for him to wing it like that but we are all human and I just think the pressure finally just caved in on the poor guy. I hope he gets home with family, unwinds a bit, grieves properly and then gets out to do some serious bow hunting.

i am a bears fan since i was born. i do not like the pakers at all (just dont like them nuthing against wisconsin) it is a shame that his died not to long ago during the season and i am sorry to hear that. brett favre did make a mistake throwing christmas gifts on first down. i didnt no that he and other teammates bowhunted so i respect them for that. hopefully the eagles will win the superbowl but nething can happen.
