JZarr 01-10-2004 08:07 PM

RE: What's In A Name?

Mine is just my the first initial of my first name (Justin), followed by my last name (Zarr). Easy enough.

I usually just post as Zarr on most boards, but I know there's a few guys locally who know my old man and I didn't want them to think I was him. I try not to tell people we're even related. :D

RE: What's In A Name?

I'm an F-16 instuctor pilot and Cargo is the callsign given to me by my squadron mates back in 1990. They called me Cargo because 1) I was once a mechanic on the C-5 (a cargo plane) and 2) we were all at a bar in SC and I won the gross weight dance contest (who can dance with the biggest women so poorly that she leaves you on the floor).

Now that is all right. F-16 instructor eh? You ever get up to MI, let me know, I would love to take a flight in one of those. I come from a long line of pilots, but only the single engine recreational type. Would love to feel the g's of one of those baby's.:D

RE: What's In A Name?

I've lived in the Oley Valley all my life. Olink is the Lene Lenape Indian word (translation - kettle) from which Oley is derived. The Oley Valley is kettle shaped.

RE: What's In A Name?

When I first signed up I tried about 10 different names and all were already being used. Out of frustration I just used my intials and the state I'm living in now !! I figured there was no way anyone would have that !! ;)

silentassassin 01-12-2004 06:40 AM

RE: What's In A Name?

I have always been somewhat fascinated with snipers. I equate my bowhunting to sniping only my bow doesn't make noise. When I aim at my target they have no idea that I am around yadda yadda yadda. So, I picked silentassassin.

adams 01-12-2004 06:57 AM

RE: What's In A Name?

PABowhntr 01-12-2004 07:37 AM

RE: What's In A Name?

Pretty self-explanatory in my case. I live in Pennsylvania and my preferred style of hunting is with a bow. I chose to leave certain letters out as I stand a better chance of registering with this name on the various forums I visit.

Scar955 01-12-2004 09:40 AM

RE: What's In A Name?

It is actually my hotmail address. I got it because Scarborough is my last name. I knew "scar" would be the first part, but I couldn't think of anything else. I looked at the clock and it was 9:55pm. I thought about it some more and decided if I looked back and it was still 9:55, I would use it.

RE: What's In A Name?

the name bobcat is what some of my friends called me after seeing the pics of the bobcat that i killed.........

Beard Buster 01-16-2004 02:53 PM

RE: What's In A Name?

wow! That is a really big cat Bobcat! My best friend's dad killed a 25 pounder this year. I want to kill a bobcat. I shoot coyotes if I see them out in the woods. I know the coyotes hurt the deer number and the bobcats nail the turkeys too. That gives me a lot more encouragement to get them pests.

Its a college thing.

It started when I first signed up for aol and got frustrated with getting a screen name (i tried like 30 names and they were all taken so I thought of something that I thought no one would have)
