RE: Lighted Nocks?!?!?

I have Tracer Nocks on my arrows and they work extremely well. The light is activated by a magnet on the riser and has never failed me. In my case it was easy to install and everything was provided with the nocks.

I took my 6x6 Elk with them this year. Very pleased.

Aggiebowman, Im also curious on how you make them. Your cost is extremely attactive.

RE: Lighted Nocks?!?!?

The lighted nock idea first surfaced a long time ago and then died a quick death. I would put them in the same barrel with the string-tracker, the shaft trackin "puff," the radio signal-transmitting nock, the animal tranquilizer pod, and the neutered dog. [X(]

How much time do you have to watch a light in flight before it reaches its destination if you are shooting 250-270 fps arrow @ 60 feet? What unconscious conditioning to drop the bow too soon or to peek would a person acquire when trying to watch the light in flight but for a very few seconds?

-How good would the nock be in bright sun light or when "snaked" in debris or snow?
-What real value is the light to determine how good the hit is if the arrow is sticking out of the animal, the shaft is in the zone, but penetration was poor?
-What good does the light do if the nock end of the arrow is sticking out of the animal but the animal instantly turns and puts the light on the opposite side, or immediately disappears into the timber/brush?
-What good does the light do if penetration was complete and the nock is covered with blood or the light is greatly diminished by the blood?
