hunting knife blade style

RE: hunting knife blade style
Even though I actually prefer a smallish drop point style I mainly use a bigger than neccessary trailing point fixed blade knife.
Looks like that knife from the movie "Scream"
Its a Buck "Pathfinder" that I could gut a Brontosaurus with but it was a Christmas gift from my mother about 10 years ago so the sentimental value outweighs the "overkill" of it.
I do think I will pick up a new knife this year though.....I've had my eye on a custom style that a guy makes from old saw mill blades and fancy handles. Can't wait for the Harrisburg Sport show to track the guy down and finally get one.
It will be a small/medium drop point fixed style.
I don't care for folders for field dressing.......too much goop and too many places for it to hide.[:'(]
