if you are talking about the fletch tite by bohning, i have it and use it whenever my arrows fletching starts to come off and just let it sit over nite and it works fine

Fastset will not properly bond Bohning vanes. Using the accelerator may solve this but I would go with AAE vanes and the fletchtite for a superior bond.

Super glue gel!!

It's really cheap and works better than anything I've ever used before. Applies easily, sets up quickly, and I got two tubes in a package for $1 at the dollar store. Now I can fletch a dozen arrows(acc 3-60) in less than an hour, and that was before season. I shoot a LOT and I've only had to replace a few fletches from when one arrow actually hits the other's fletching and tears it.
Not even one has come loose!

I suppose I could buy it in bulk for pennies a tube and then give it a name, like
"Captain Backstrap's magic fletching adhesive" and then sell it to unsuspecting archer's for $15 a tube on the premise there's something special about it that makes it great for fletching arrows. I gotta go - just had a great idea!!!!

Yeah, that's what I think Fastset did. That's why I mentioned it.

I also think the accelorator is just another way to make money also. It's my guess that it's not needed. What do you think?

I would say the accelorator is not needed. We got by without it for how many hundreds of years?????????;)

The thing is, again, if it's advertised to be useful, somebody will go for it. You have to admire the "Social Darwinism" in some of these manufacturers, even if they are slugs!!:D:D

The accelerator is definately not needed, especially if you use the AAE vanes, but from my experience it really has helped in speeding up the process and getting a superior bond. The first time I used the accelerator it wasn't even being marketed for arrow making. I happened to have some left over from building radio controlled airplanes and I thought....maybe this will help...


When I realized how effective it was I should have started selling Jimimac's Arrow Cure....but alas.............day late and a dollar short.......again:)
