Default Attention Matthews Owners!!!!

Well, I got exactly what I asked for this Christmas. A new Matthews LX just for me. This is where I got lost. I have on my other bow a Trophy Ridge Nitro sight and MZE rest. I love that set up but I was thinking that maybe the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone rest might be better for my LX and I was thinking maybe the Matrix sight would be better on this one.

So, I would like to hear some feedback from all Matthews Legacy, LX, and Icon owners and I would like to know what you think about my possible future set up. Thank you in advance for your help.

Also, what carbons do you reccomend? Thanks.

I picked up my Mathews LX back in October, I have the Copper John Dead Nuts 5-Pin sight with an afterburner light set up. I was thinking of the NAP Quicktune Drop-Away 2000RG, which is as they say "tailored for bows with cable roller gaurds". They were designe for Mathews Legacy and the LX. Check them out.

I puchased an LX last year. You must have been good this last year. Santa did well. Anyway, I have a trophy taker drop away and a Spot Hogg sight. Mine has been fitted with a Winners choice string and I shoot a string loop. I have trained the string to align the peep, so no need to have a rubber tube flopping in my face. It proved fatal for an elk last year. Congrats on your new bow. You got a good one.

I've got the Matrix and the Drop Zone on my Legacy and they work great. I've experieced NO problems what so ever with these products and as mentioned above, I can't wait to get the new '04 Guide Series gear. You will love the Drop Zone, it's the easiest rest I have ever personally set up.

I would wait and get the Guide series, like stated before, and definently check out the NAP 2000RG, I have one, and it is one of the easiest dropaways tos et up, you don't have to serve the string like with the drop zone!

I am currently using a Mathews prong rest. It is setup for "normal" operation but has the option to be turned into a fall away if I so desire. I went to a vertical sight and will never go back. I shoot the Vital Bow Gear's Trapper. Take a look at it.

Congratulations on the new bow and good luck.

Thanks for your help folks. I am waiting on the new sights from Trophy Ridge later this month. I will make a decision as soon as I get a look at them. I also am not sure now if I should go with the new Drop Zone or stick with the Muzzy Zero Effect. Anyways, thank you for your ideas.

I don't think you can beat the zero effect ,quiet ,will not hurt your vanes and you no longer have to worry about vane clearance and arrow capture .As the impact trio is my choice

I have a MZE on my LX,and I would'nt have it any other way.Tried the TR DZ,it was ok,but it's no MZE.As far as sights are concerned,Copper-Johns,Spot-Hogg,you really can't go wrong with either one, however,my personal favorite is the HHA Opitmizer Lite 5000...Bob
