I was wondering if the True Talker freezes in cold weather? I have used a couple of other calls and the ones I like freeze, and the ones that don't freeze I don't like! Please help.

I've used/tried a good number of calls and the only ones I did NOT have freeze during some serious late season cold were the True Talker and the Primos Big Buck Grunt'n Bleat.

The True Talker DID NOT freeze at any time during the past 2 seasons.I know this season was mild, but the season before was brutal to say the least.Hunting with this call at sub-zero temps and wind chills that were true Alberta Clippers did not stop this call from perfrming when I needed it to.

I liked my true talker, but it did freeze on me during later archery season. I believe most of it was due to saliva...the true talker is exhale activated....and I believe saliva gets into any exhale activated grunt no matter how hard you try...for that reason...I changed to an inhale activated grunt and love it. Its called the bowgrunter plus ......and its hands free. There is a post on it right now on this forum. I am not bagging on the true talker at all. I liked them a lot when they first came out....I even bought a second one for back up. I still have them, but use my bowgrunter-plus handsfree grunt instead.
