Guys

I read a while back about tree stand history. The article reffered to snipers in WW I or II using them (against us) They were the type of stand where the platfor is supported from underneath the stand - looks like todays stands upside down.....

Anyone know where I can read up on more history of these stand s?? I also heard about an oldcompany -Andy's Tree stands that made this type - company was in Florida I believe and one of the first....
ANY help on this is appreciated... and after Im done I have a GREAT story relatewd to all this to tell.......

Tom, I read an article a few months ago on modern stands. Baker was the first climbing stand and then people started copying them, and then new designs started coming out. I'll try to find where I saw it.

I would guess that it began when some sailor climbed up a ship's rigging with his bow.
