What do you guys think, is there a better chance for a proficient bowhunter to score during bow season then it would be to try during rifle season? The reason I ask is I live in WA and the bow season runs all month in Sept. and late season is mid Nov. - mid Dec. I believe the rut is during this latter season. Are there more deer moving around due to the rutting and lack of rifle hunters?

I've seen more deer in one season of bowhunting than I have in all the years of rifle hunting.I've been bowhunting for 3yrs and now wish I had started sooner.
Bowhunting is the best I know you'll agree ,there's lot's to learn bowhunting every hunt or day in the field you'll learn something new .Have fun and I know you will enjoy it for many year's to come .You won't regret it.

This year I bow hunted about 70 hours, saw about 35 deer and shot 1 but passed on about 4 or 5 others.
I gun hunted about 9 hours, saw 19 and shot 2 and could have shot about 6 or 7. Nothing beats the opening of gun season for deer movement.
This is not saying that I prefer gun hunting. I had 3 hunters setup within 130 yards of me opening of gun season. Watched one shoot a nice buck too. It sucked!
