Probably somthing you can live with
I use my bow, shotgun and muzzleloader then bow again too. I do enjoy and get a lot more satisfaction hunting with my bow but like the gun seasons enough to continue them also. I took one this year with the shotgun but the thrill did not even come close to the two I got this year with the bow. I still have Dec to bow hunt some more. I won' t hunt as much or as hard because the freezer is full but I enjoy it too much to put it away until next year. I' ll put in one weekend with the smoke pole also.

I' m the same way. I went gun hunting once this year, and it just wasn' t the same. I can' t say I really enjoyed it. The whole time I was hunting, I kept thinking, man this is going to be a no brainer if a deer walks out at 200 yds. My uncle hunts with a gun only and killed an 8 an 15 point in Missouri 2 weeks ago. Thats great and all but not much of a challenge to it. I think I will be sticking to my bow all season long as well. Good Luck!

I made that same choice about ten years ago.. well after 8 years of non-stop Archery Only hunting, I have gone back to guns at times, not for any other reason but to go. I still hunt all year with my bow, but sometimes will go muzzleloader hunting or gun hunting. I have no problems using either. I do love the rush I get with the bow.

I went on my first archery elk hunt last year and provided we can still get two or more elk tags again next year I will still rifle hunt but if we go back to one tag then it' s going to be with a bow. Even though I haven' t taged one yet, after the first day last year,I am absolutly hooked on elk with archery equipment. IMO nothing in this world beats trying to match wits with big bulls during the rut. It' s the ultimate high.

I completely agree. I bowhunted this gun season. Could have shot half a dozen dink bucks but passed. Waited for a doe shot but didn' t get it. Nothing like the feeling of bowhunting. Welcome to the brotherhood.
