What is your state law

In some states the FWP or DNR laws say if you would an animal with a bow you can' t finish them off with a firearm. What does your state say?

Dunno about that exactly, but here in Arizona, you can' t even have a firearm in your possession during an archery hunt (nope, even archery hunting bear, can' t carry my trusty ol .45LC).

That is percisely the law in Maine. You can carry a firearm but may not use it to dispach a wounded deer.

In Minnesota if you wound one with your bow you had better plan on finishing it off with your bow. Or better yet, make sure you kill it with your first shot. No gun allowed while bow hunting.

No guns at all while archery hunting here in PA.

In AR you can have a firearm in possession because many seasons overlap. You cannot, however, under any circumstance, finish off a deer with it during bowseason. Stupid law....yes, but I can see how the game wardens job would be much harder if everyone was toting guns and bows around during bowseason.

I do know a friend of a friend of my sister' s brothers mother' s uncle by marriage that has finished off deer with a gun. The deer was suffering badly but wouldn' t let me.....errrrr.....the guy, get back within bow range and it had started raining so they guy went back to his truck and got his .22 mag he had for shooting coyotes.

in North Carolina you can not have any firearm in you possession during bowseason but may carry a handgun during gunseason and use it to finish off an animal. ( you can bow hunt during gunseason in Blaze ofcourse and during muzzleloader season only on archery only gameland zones, no handguns during muzzle either btw

In Florida you cannot carry a firearm during archery season, however I do CCW...with a permit of course. It is ambiguous(?) because of the conflicting laws and have been cited more than once, and my sidearm seized, only to be found not guilty and my S&W 9 returned. HOWEVER I would NEVER ever put a deer down with it, unless it was during general gun season and I was bowhunting. Funny thing I never had to put a deer down cause I make my first shot count.

If you are in a bowhunting only zone or season, you can' t use a firearm to finish an animal off. However, if you are bowhunting in an area that isn' t limited to bows only, you can use whatever you want to finish the animal off, even if you started with the bow.
